"Sam was the gardner of Bag End, serving both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. When the conspiracy
was unmasked it became clear that it was Sam all along who had been keeping an eye out on Frodo. During the Council of Elrond
there was no doubt that he should join Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring on their quest. Sam caught Frodo as he was trying
to leave the Fellowship behind to enter Mordor all by himself. So it came that Frodo and Sam went to Mordor together. After
the confrontation with Shelob, who Sam killed using Sting, Frodo was taken by orcs and Sam had to pursue them to free his
master. After he freed his master they proceded to Mount Doom together and he saw how Gollum bit the One Ring of the finger
of Frodo and fell into the Cracks of Doom. After the quest was over Sam married Rose Cotton and became Thain of the Shire.
After Rose died he left middle-earth as he had also been a Ring Bearer. "
